When taking your 'trek' around Hornby, please respect peoples' privacy and property. Dogs should be kept on leash,and please, no smoking in the woods.

1. LOWER BENCH TRAIL-turn right up the hill from the ferry and turn right up Mount Rd.. Follow to the top of the
hill and follow signs for the trail.

2. PHIPP'S POINT-turn left just past Bradsdadsland campsite and park in the designated area.

3. CENTRAL RD.-the arbutus grow close to the road as you come out of Phipp's Point. There are areas that are safe to pull over and enjoy the view.

4 FOSSIL BEACH-park at Phipp's Point and walk along the beach to your right. You will eventually come to a long promontory jutting out into the sea that is covered in rocks, fossil fragments and shells.

5. RAIN FOREST TRAIL-turn right off Central Rd. up to the end of Lea Smith Rd.. Park and follow the signs.

6. WHALING STATION BAY-follow the road from the ferry until you come to the Co-op. Turn left and follow the road almost to the end. You will see signs posted for beach access where you can park.

7&8.- HELLIWELL PARK-follow the directions for above, but look for Helliwell Rd. to your right. There is public parking in the cull de sac and the trail leads from there.

9. DUNLOP POINT-turn right at the co-op, then turn left down Seawright Rd.. and follow it straight down to the beach access.

10. SANDPIPER BEACH-from Seawright Rd... continue around the corner along Porpoise Rd.. to the beach access at the base of Sandpiper Rd...

11. OLSEN'S FARM-turn right at the Co-op and follow Central Rd.. to Ford Cove. You will come upon an amazing view to your left. There are several safe areas to pull over and park.

12. VIEW TO CHROME ISLAND-Drive to Ford Cove and park. Go onto the beach in front of the store and walk to your left. Aside from the view to Denman and Chrome Island, you can take in the amazing sandstone conglomerate rock formations.
